I’ve been playing the piano for over 30 years. I grew up on the traditional classical path — Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart and the rest. It meant 4–5 hours of intense practice every single day, seven days a week, from a very young age. Preparing just one piece for a competition could take months. While other kids were outside playing or hanging out with friends, I was at the piano, hour after hour, perfecting my technique.

That training gave me discipline and real skill. But somewhere along the way I realized something important: the classical conservatory route is perfect if you want to become a professional or compete. For almost everyone else — people who simply want to sit down and play the film scores, emotional soundtracks and beautiful melodies they actually love — it often feels slow, overwhelming and joyless. There was never space in that world to just play for pleasure.

After years of teaching, I saw too many passionate adults quit because of sheet music overload, endless theory and music that didn’t move them. So I spent years studying every modern method, book and course I could find.
